Not everything worth building lives in a terminal. Between the software and the homelab, there's a soldering iron staying warm and a Bambu Lab printer humming — this is where the software brain touches grass (and hot plastic).
Each of these I printed, built, wired, or all three. Photos are the real thing on my bench — more will land here as I make them.
A mechanical keyboard housed in a case I modeled and printed from scratch. Switches, stabilizers, and keycaps all chosen and assembled by hand — the kind of build where every keystroke is one you're personally responsible for.
A second board, built the enthusiast way — hand-soldered, switches lubed, stabilizers tuned — and dressed in a Breaking Bad "Heisenberg" keyset: periodic-table legends and the important keys (Science. Bitch.). Proof that "I just need one good keyboard" is a lie every hobbyist tells themselves.
A little robot car my daughter and I built side by side — an Arduino brain, an ultrasonic sensor for eyes, motors, wiring, and a healthy amount of "why isn't it going?" It's my favorite thing on this page, and not because of the engineering.
A cutaway turbofan jet engine, printed part by part — fan blades, compressor stages, and spinner — and assembled into a model whose spool actually spins. Pure mechanical eye-candy for the desk.
A fully 3D-printed rack-driven 7-segment display — inverse cams push a rack and pinion that flips each segment up or down to form the number. I printed four and drove them with servos to make a clock. Absurdly satisfying motion, and not an LED in sight.
A passive acoustic amplifier I designed from the ground up — no power, no electronics, just geometry that funnels the iPhone's speaker into something fuller and louder. A horn for the pocket-sized (shown here as the CAD render).
